Jamie and his team recently completed our existing deck demo and rebuild to a new composite deck. The entire process took a few months with city permitting but Jamie was upfront about the expectations and was excellent in communicating updates start to finish. My husband and I had been eager to redo our wooden deck since moving into our home two years ago, but knew it would be quite the undertaking. Lester Contracting handled the job with ease in about a month! The crew of two-three worked hard to remove prior boards, structurally redo the basis of our deck/stairs, install a rain escape drain system, and complete the deck with Trex. We went with an inlay of Pebble Grey and bordered the deck with Winchester Grey. If you’re in the market to upgrade your deck (and you’re tired of constantly staining old wood) we would highly recommend Lester Contracting! Here are some before, during, and after photos!

Lester Contracting rebuilt my back deck with TimberTeck in July 2023. The finished project is well built and looks beautiful. Jamie was very thorough, explained exactly what was going to be done and included in the contract. His men were always on time, very respectful and mindful of the neighbors, worked well together without wasting time or materials, able to consult with Jamie if I had concerns, and willing to work longer days to complete the job earlier that anticipated. Lester Contracting replaced our existing wooden deck with Trex in the spring of 2023.  Our new deck looks amazing and has eliminated from our lives forever the dreaded stain project that took days to complete because of all those rail posts that took hours to stain.  Jamie’s crew demoed and hauled away the old wooden deck, kept the work site organized and completed the project on time in under a week.  Our neighbors loved our new deck and had Jamie replace their old wooden decks with Trex, too.  I’d definitely have them do another project at my home.

I decided to remove the desks in my back yard and put a screen porch on. I had interviewed three other companies before I found Lester Contracting. Great experience getting a new deck from Lester Contracting! Very thorough estimate provided. Very quick demo of the old deck and very thorough installation process. Kept me updated with any issues encountered during the process (found rotten wood on the sunroom the deck was attaching to) and remedied issues quickly. Would highly recommend!

Jamie was great at figuring out how to work around some quirks of our existing porch and did fantastic work replacing most of it and building new (and much safer) stairs, exactly as promised. Would definitely recommend.

Jamie Lester was wonderful to work with, very professional, so reliable and did a fantastic renovation of our 12 year old screened porch. His crew replaced all our rotting wood slats, interior coffee ledge rails with vinyl, put in a new screen system , new exterior door and exterior steps down to the patio. I hired Lester Contracting to replace an existing deck that was 12'x28'. They did tear off and rebuilt the deck in 1 week. They had to come back and finish up some details which they did. The crew that did the work was very good. They paid attention to detail and took much pride in their work. The yard was left neat every day when they left, and all trash was taken away by the workers. I highly recommend the work that the crew did, and we are very happy with the deck.

We had Lester Contracting LLC build our screened in porch and new deck in Henrico. Jamie, the owner is very professional and detailed oriented. He was very patient with any questions we had. Jamie's employees were good at their jobs and always cleaned the jobsite daily. We are very pleased with the final product and would highly recommend Lester Contracting to anyone.

We started contacting deck builders for over 2.5 years, and we either didn’t receive a call-back, or was quoted an outrageous amount. When we contacted Jamie Lester, he responded within an hour and followed-up with a walk-through within a week…as well as a quote the following week. When the deck was being built, the foreman and deck builders were like watching an orchestra, with precision, and, carefully cleaning-up afterwards. We were thoroughly impressed by the finished job of our new ‘Saddle’ Trex decking with white rails! After the job was complete, there were a few boards that had some scratches or cuts on them, and Jamie came back out within a week of contacting, did a walk-through and replaced within another week. Everyday, we look out the window (and of course walk-on) and are amazed at the design of the Trex decking system. When the sun is at different angles, the decking has a unique look to it, because of the texture it has. We can’t use enough adjectives to describe the amazement of how it looks! We highly recommend Jamie Lester Contracting, and his professional builders, and plan on having our kitchen cabinets replaced, as well 😁

My wife and I had Lester Contracting come and knock out the walls between our living room, dining room and kitchen to create an open concept floor, renovate our kitchen, install new hardwood floors, and renovate our hall bathroom and I couldn't be happier with the results. We made the decision to add stairs and screen in our builder designed covered porch months ago. My husband picked Lester Contracting based off of posted comments that precious customers had left about their experiences as well as photos of their work. I am so glad that he did. The craftsmanship that was applied to the job done on our porch is beautiful. They had to tear down the existing porch railings and columns, which was scary as a home owner, but what they replaced them with is sturdier and more appealing to look at. We originally didn't have the practical use of being able to go downstairs from our backporch, but now we do. Amd it is so convenient with having a dog. I dont have to worry about dirt being tracked on the carpet in the basement which was the only way out back before. I love the glass door that matches our storm door in the front of the house. If we wanted to, we could have had the screen door installed and we can still switch it if we want to later. All in all, the workers were diligent and timely. I have no complaints about their work ethic. If I needed another job done, I would give them my business again, 100%. They did an excellent job.
